It is the mission of the US Sailing Center to provide a permanent site and facilities for the training of Olympic sailors and the racing of National and International sailboat classes, and to promote the sport of competitive sailing. Children and adult residents of the City of Miami are encouraged to utilize the facility for their competitive sailing.
Built specifically for competitive sailing, our two-story facility is located on approximately two acres of waterfront property on Biscayne Bay. To launch boats, the Schoonmaker Center has two three-ton hoists for launching and hauling all larger watercraft. Additionally, two large ramps are available for launching smaller sailboats, windsurfers, paddle board or kayaks. The facility is available to the residents of Miami and the public for a nominal fee.
The US Sailing Center is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
